Beautiful Central Hawkes Bay, it’s the southern, very rural, part of our awesome province that’s often overlooked.

With a history of farming & cropping CHB is now recognised as a grape growing sub-climate all of its own & its boutique wine scene is growing. Higher elevation & cooler nights mean you find gems such as Gewurztraminer & Pinot Noir thriving!

Steeped in history, visit a 150 year old homestead, play the part with a high tea style lunch then explore the gardens & learn about the restoration & past of this grand building.

Hi I'm Desa, I was born & raised in Central Hawke's Bay (that’s the very rural, southern part of our beautiful province) & now live in the Hastings area of Hawke's Bay.

The past 10 years have seen me traveling & living in all sorts of amazing places around the world. Despite all this exploration I am always drawn back home, I love New Zealand & my tiny corner of it!

So here I am, combining my experience in the hospitality & tourism industry with my passion for all the great places I get to enjoy daily. I want to share with visitors what keeps myself, my family & my friends proud to be locals.

The Fieldtrip car is comfortable & compact. Air-con for our hot summers, Spotify for all your road-trip listening, reusable water bottles & cold refills, eco coffee mugs to borrow for the day. I have been busy thinking of all the ways to make your trip extra special.
