Bay Skate

Bay Skate is a multi-use, world-class roller sports park on Napier's Marine Parade. It caters for skateboarding, roller derby, bmx, scootering, inline hockey, roller-skating, artistic skating and rollerblading. The park has a flat rink, wooden ramp section, and a concrete bowl area. You can also hire your choice of wheels!

Price:

Bay Skate members - $4.00

Non-members: $6.00

Senior Citizens/ Community Services Card holder - $4.00

Children under 3 - no charge

Spectators - no charge

Equipment Hire (scooters, skates, skateboards) comes with protective gear and a helmet- $10.00

Open hours:

Bay Skate is open daily for casual visitors and is also available for roller sports club training and games, and events such as concerts, open-air cinema and business functions.

Monday - Friday: 3 pm - 8 pm

Saturday/ Sunday: 10 am - 8 pm

School/ Public holidays: 10 am - 8 pm

Bay Skate is all about letting the good times roll. It's about having fun with your friends, learning new tricks, refining your skills, maybe a bit of competition and a few challenges, but all within a positive, supportive and safe environment. Blast the ramps, shred the bowls or spin the rink, it's up to you. If it's got wheels and you can strap them on or ride it, you're in. There are three main skating areas, they also has a 593-seat viewing grandstand, changing and showering facilities, an adjacent ice cream parlour and merchandise shop.
