Currently our region is serviced by Air New Zealand with daily direct flights from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. There are also some scheduled services to/from other regions in New Zealand including Gisborne, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Hamilton, Tauranga, Whakatane, New Plymouth.

Hawke's Bay Airport

The Hawke's Bay area is serviced by one airport, located 10 minutes from Napier City and 20 minutes from Hastings City. 

InterCity

New Zealand's largest coach network, InterCity, has been transporting Kiwi and overseas visitors around New Zealand for more than 30 years.

InterCity offer more than 150 services every day connecting to over 600 New Zealand destinations.

The main North Island cities with connecting services to Napier are; Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo, Whakatane, Gisborne, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Hastings and Wanganui.

Interislander

Travel between Wellington and Picton on the Aratere, Kaiarahi or the Kaitaki. The 92 km voyage takes 3 hours and has been described as one of the most beautiful ferry rides in the world. Each provides a complete range of onboard services to ensure you trip is enjoyable and unforgettable.

Bluebridge

The Strait Feronia and The Straitsman sail everyday between New Zealand's North and South Island. On board services include lounge areas, movies, food kiosks / cafes, workstations.

TranzScenic

TranzScenic has three memorable Train Journeys.

• Northern Explorer: Departs from Auckland and Wellington travelling through some of the North Islands most inspiring scenery.
• Coastal Pacific: Departs daily from both Christchurch and Picton.
• TranzAlpine: Christchurch to Greymouth and return daily. Rated as one of the world's greatest train journeys.
