Hawke's Bay is a cycling mecca with over 200 kilometers of off road scenic trails, passing through vineyards, past winding rivers, orchards, mountains and the Pacific coastline. The Hawke’s Bay cycle trails are mostly flat terrain and with fantastic attractions along the way, wildlife, great food, and a fantastic all year climate – it is one of New Zealand’s best all year cycling destinations.
Mountain bikers of all levels can also experience a diverse range of mountain biking trails for all skill levels from beginners to extreme with the Eskdale Mountain Bike Park, Te Mata Peak and Yeoman's Track in the Ruahine Forest Park.
We have many well located bike hire and tour companies throughout the region offering a range of services – with hourly, daily and multi day rates – some with transport and accommodation packages included to make cycling in the Bay a breeze.
Come into Napier i-SITE and pick up a free copy of your Hawke's Bay Cycle Trail Map and have a chat with our information consultants – many of whom are keen cyclists themselves – to get tips on where to go and what to see along the way.
