Our focus - just for you is a fabulous, stress free, fun healthy day cycling or Self Guided Cycling Holiday where you connect mind, body and soul as well as experiencing nature at its best. Professionally maintained top of the range bikes - which includes Ladies, Men's & step through bikes, Tandems, children's bikes, one wheelers and baby seats - all adult bikes have panniers, handlebar bags or baskets.

A very popular Family Trail cycling the Tutaekuri Riverbanks on way to the quaint village of Puketapu.

Optional: Day Light Saving excursion from 3pm to 7pm.  Stop off and have dinner at the pub!

The terrain is quite flat. Puketapu Loop is 25km (29km if you visit Silky Oak Chocolates).

$60 accommodation collection and drop off Napier area.
$80 accommodation collection and drop off  Hastings / Havelock North.

Church Road Winery, Mission Estate Winery and Moana Park Winery.  Enjoy the quaint Puketapu Village – the  Puketapu Pub is a great place for morning or afternoon teas, lunch or dinner (closed Mon), Historic Church and Puketapu Park for a ride on the flying fox.

Our most popular Rural Cycle Trail in the Gimblett Gravel Winery area – enjoy some of New Zealand’s best red and white wines as you cycle past the vast grape growing area. Flat terrain. Approx 5 to 6 hours.

Highlights
This wine growing area is situated West of Hastings, famous for its deep gravely soils laid down by the old Ngaruroro River after the huge flood in the 1860’s. 80% of the land is planted in red grape varieties, the remaining 20% is white grape varieties.

Discover Sileni Estate unique gourmet cellar which includes a selection of Fine New Zealand Extra Virgin Olive Oils produced locally by The Village Press. On route you will discover numerous world renowned handcrafted award winning wines at the cellar doors – where you will be welcomed by passionate, enthusiastic cellar door staff. A surprise at  Abbey Cellars  and Trinity Hill who make beer on site.

Drop off by coach at Sileni Estate, the start of your cycle adventure. Options to visit Alpha Domus, Abbey Cellars, Ngatarawa Wines,  Oak Estate Wines, Ash Ridge Wines Trinity Hill, Te Awa Winery, Roys Hill Reserve (cycle to the top of the hill for a panoramic view), Unison Vineyard, Stonecroft Wines.

Flat terrain. Options:

8.5kms Drop off and collection: Black Bridge to road end beside the sea.
14kms drop off at Clive cycle  to road end            
16.5km Black Bridge to  Coastal Settlements and back to  Black Bridge.
28kms from Bike About Tours base Cycle one way – joining the Tutaekuri Riverbank Pathway to Awatoto turn right and follow the Pathway beside the sea to Clive and East Clive to Black Bridge.

Explore the village of Haumoana on the way to Beach House Wines, Elephant Hill Estate Winery, Clearview Winery and Te Awanga Estate (formally Kim Crawford Wines) – enjoy spectacular  coastal views.  Cycle through the village of Te Awanga to Wool World and Clifton Bay Cafe at the road end beside the sea. On the way back visit Haumoana Farmyard Zoo and/or the British Car Museum. There are numerous art & craft studios in this area.  Afternoon collection  please phone around 4.pm to arrange a collection point  that suits you best at approximately   4.45 pm

River Bar Restaurant in Clive, Gannet Bar & Grill, Elephant Hill Estate Winery, Clearview Winery, Hygge Cafe.

Very popular scenic ride the majority is riding the pathways – great water views taking in the river and sea, wineries and cafes and seaside villages.

20km or 43km options – allow 5-6 hours.

Option one: Cycle one way with afternoon pick-up – 43km.

Option two:  Your choice of where you start from  activities or wineries - Te Mata Mushrooms, Arataki Honey Visitor Centre, Red Barrel Winery,  Black Barn and Te Mata Estate Wineries, cycle the riverbank pathway to Black Bridge, join the Kidnappers Coast pathway and visit Beach House Wines, Elephant Hill Winery, Clearview Winery and Te Awanga Estate, Hygge Cafe.
