Those seeking a unique Scottish heritage experience should visit the NZ National Pipe Band Championships in HB in March. Pipe Bands from all around NZ will be in Hawke’s Bay for the contest. The competition will feature the best of pipe band music, marching and specialty disciplines such as mace flourishing. The venue will be Mitre10 Park (the HB Regional Sports Park) located adjacent to the Napier Hastings expressway which provides excellent facilities for officials, bands people and the public. A fantastic display of marching and music will be seen in the street march on Friday afternoon in Napier’s CBD.
