Badjelly the Witch was first published in 1973. If you were a child in the 70's, you would have grown up listening to it on the radio and being terrified by the way it was beautifully told by Spike Milligan. The first original production of Alannah O'Sullivan's play was performed by Greytown School in 1977. Since then it has been performed by amateurs and professionals alike.
Sharp Performing Arts School will be staging this as an ensemble piece where the students will be cast in multiple roles the whole way through. The senior and junior classes combine to create an innovative piece of theatre that will have you being terrified of the wickedest witch in the World, all over again.
