Coriolan Overture, Piano Concerto No.4 in G major, Symphony No.3 in E flat major - Eroica
We close the year with a feast of some of the most popular of Beethoven’s works for orchestra. The dramatic Coriolan overture sets the scene for us to welcome one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed pianists, Jian Liu, in the beautiful fourth piano concerto.
The significance of the monumental Eroica symphony cannot be overstated – both as a turning point in music history, and as, quite simply, one of the greatest symphonies of all time.
Presented by the Napier Civic Choir, performed by the Hawke's Bay Orchestra and conducted by José Aparicio.
