F.A.W.C! An Ode to The Fig

F.A.W.C! An Ode to The Fig

As the cool of winter settles on barren trees and leaves a frost on the ground, there is no better time to hide inside and enjoy an evening of praise for the humble fig.
In a true showcase, F.A.W.C!ers will enjoy a 'tasting of figs' culminating in the traditional piping-in of the Figgy Pudding and reading of the 'Ode to the Figgy Pudding'.
Enjoy five tasting plates that demonstrate the versatility of this tasty flower (yes, figs are a flower not a fruit!), with the sumptuous final taste that of Te Mata Figs Figgy Pudding, brandy sauce and fig ice cream.

Ticket price includes five tasting plates featuring figs, concluding with Figgy Pudding accompanied by brandy sauce and fig ice cream. It is not intended that the evening be a full meal but a series of tapas highlighting uses of figs out of season. Note people are in (max) table of four.

F.A.W.C! is a series of exceptional food and wine experiences set in stunning locations in Hawke’s Bay. Running twice a year, F.A.W.C! is a chance to get up close and personal with chefs and food producers, wine makers and the clever people that make up the New Zealand food and wine scene. F.A.W.C! Winter Series runs over the 4 weekends in June 2022
