F.A.W.C! Through the Grapevine

Ever wondered how your favourite Chardonnay is made? Join us for this behind the scenes tour of Askerne winery and learn about the wine making process. You will taste from old and new barrels, find out about different Chardonnay clones, wild yeast versus cultured yeast and how we make our blending decisions followed by a tasting of the three finished 2019 Chardonnays under our cellar door verandah.

Askerne is a single estate winery situated in the winegrowing region of Havelock North, John and Kathryn Loughlin are committed to producing elegant fine wines that reflect our unique site and our winemaking philosophy and passion.

F.A.W.C! is a series of exceptional food and wine experiences set in stunning locations in Hawke’s Bay. Running twice a year, F.A.W.C! is a chance to get up close and personal with chefs and food producers, wine makers and the clever people that make up the New Zealand food and wine scene. F.A.W.C! Summer Series runs November, 6-15, 2020
