Every year National Council Women Hawkes Bay Branch hold a Suffrage Day Breakfast to commemorate women in New Zealand getting the right to vote. We are very pleased this year to have Mayor Sandra Hazlehurst and Mayor Kirsten Wise as our guest speakers. National Council of Women New Zealand has a long and proud history promoting improvements to the quality of life of women, families and the community. Our actions have helped shape the social and economic fabric of our country. Today our work focuses on realising our vision, a gender equal New Zealand.
