EIT Robotics Lab Open Day

It’s your turn to explore!

Join us for a chance to explore the technology in our newly-expanded Robotics and AI Development Lab. Robots, Virtual Reality (VR) and machine-learning activities for all ages. Under 13s require a parent to accompany them.

Two opportunities are available:
9am-1pm – Aimed at Intermediate and High School students over 13 years of age to spend a morning exploring the Lab.

There are 4 activities on offer – try them all!

- Programme the Omron Cobot – pick and deliver different items with the robotic arm
- The world of Virtual Reality – programme a robot in the VR Lego world
- Intelligent Racing Cars – teach a mini racing car to drive the miniature track
- The Internet of Things (IoT) – learn to create a simple algorithm to drive electronics and IOT

4:30-6:30pm – A session for everyone! Come after work with the family and let everyone explore the lab.

Bring your parents/whānau and interact with our robotic racing cars; see if you can programme our robotic arm to serve you some lollies; and play with our mini robots.
