Hastings Blossom Festival 2021: POSTPONED

Hastings Blossom Festival 2021: POSTPONED

Hastings Blossom Parade - POSTPONED!

The Hastings Blossom Parade, initially scheduled to take place on September 11th 2021, has now been postponed until October 9th 2021 due to the latest Government announcement that the country will remain at Level 4 until nearly the end of August.

Arts Inc. Heretaunga, and Hastings District Council, have decided to postpone the event to allow greater time for the creation of entries and organising a safe space for gathering in a positive way. The disruption over the last two weeks has meant that groups have been unable to gather to create their floats. With the new date we are hopeful that we can bring the community together again to celebrate this highly anticipated annual event.

Our theme for 2021 is... 'Transport to Delight'!

It is our privilege to have the opportunity to bring the community together to celebrate the arrival of Spring and renew a sense of pride in our region. We feel that this is really important for everyone, as we have been lucky enough to have this chance to celebrate together in 2020 and hope to do so again for 2021 - creating a magical day and bringing smiles to the faces of both children and adults alike!

Here's how our Hastings Blossom Festival day is shaping up:
10:00 am - Live Entertainment - Albert Square
11:00 am - Blossom Parade
12:45 pm - Prizegiving & Live Entertainment - Albert Square

Hastings Blossom Festival is proudly delivered by Arts Inc. Heretaunga and funded by Hastings District Council
