A culinary collaboration presented to you by French Pastry Chef, Sarah from Mademoiselle Pâtisserie and Pink Lady® apples New Zealand.
In this relaxed three-hour, hands-on culinary journey of France, learn how to prepare (and taste) traditional ‘apple favourites’ including the deliciously satisfying apple Tarte Tatin, an upside-down caramelised dessert, apple turnover, toffee apples, while also mastering the art of apple roses in a crunchy tart with apple compote.
Loved by the French for their unique taste, crunch, and rosy blush, Pink Lady® apples are popular in France for eating and for use in the finest of sweet temptations. French Pastry chef Sarah is excited to find that locally grown Pink. Lady® apples are of the same quality as those used in France and available right here for New Zealanders to enjoy.
So excited in fact, that F.A.W.C!ers will leave with their very own Mademoiselle Pâtisserie recipe booklet, Pink Lady® event favour, and Sarah’s practiced tips and tricks with everything required to recreate their newly acquired French repertoire at home.
F.A.W.C! is a series of exceptional food and wine experiences set in stunning locations in Hawke’s Bay. Running twice a year, F.A.W.C! is a chance to get up close and personal with chefs and food producers, wine makers and the clever people that make up the New Zealand food and wine scene. F.A.W.C! Winter Series runs over the 4 weekends in June 2021
